1. About these terms
This website is operated by JF Accountax Ltd(“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England & Wales, of Regus, Churchill Court, 3 Manor Royal, Crawley RH10 9LU.
These terms apply when you use jfaccountax.co.uk, our instant quote tool and our client portal. By using them you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the website.
2. Our accountancy services
When you become a client, the services we provide are set out in your engagement letter. If anything in these terms conflicts with your engagement letter, the engagement letter applies.
Articles, guides and other content on this website are general information only. They aren't advice for your particular circumstances, and tax rules change often — please speak to us before acting on anything you read here.
3. Quotes and prices
Prices on our website and figures produced by the instant quote tool are estimates based on the information you give us. Unless stated otherwise they exclude VAT. Your fee is confirmed in writing before any work starts, and we may revise a quote if your circumstances turn out to be different from what was entered.
Requesting a quote doesn't oblige you to use our services, or oblige us to take you on as a client.
4. The client portal
- Keep your login details secure and don't share them. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- Information and documents you upload should be accurate, and yours to share with us.
- We may suspend or close portal access — for example to protect your account, if fees go unpaid, or when our engagement ends.
5. Fees and payment
Monthly fees are collected by Direct Debit through GoCardless, on the terms set out in your engagement letter. If a payment fails we'll contact you before taking any further action. Changes to your plan or add-ons take effect as agreed with us.
6. Using the website responsibly
You must not:
- use the website for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the website, the client portal or any other client's information;
- introduce viruses or other malicious code, or disrupt how the website works;
- copy or scrape the website's content in bulk.
7. Intellectual property
The content, design and branding of this website belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use, but not reproduce them for commercial purposes without our permission.
8. Our liability
We work to keep the website accurate and available, but it's provided as it is, and we can't guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. We aren't responsible for losses arising from reliance on the website's general content.
Our liability for the professional services we provide is governed by your engagement letter. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law — and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Other websites and services
The website links to, or uses, services run by others — such as Google Maps, WhatsApp and GoCardless. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we aren't responsible for their content.

11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
